Jillian Barberie
Jillian Barberie was born Jillian Warry, on September 26, 1966 in
Burlington, Ontario, Canada. While still a baby, she was adopted, but
later discovered that her biological parents were from the U.K. At an
early age, Jillian pursued figure skating, then graduated with a degree
in broadcast journalism from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
Starting out as a weather announcer for The Weather Network in Canada in
the early 1990s, Jillian later joined a Fox affiliate in Miami and first
became their weather announcer, then added sports, entertainment and
current events to her announcing duties. In Florida she met her future
husband Bret Barberie, a baseball player for the Florida Marlins. After
finding a job on a popular Los Angeles morning program ("Good Day L.A.")
in 1995, she then acquired a national audience in 2000 when she became
the weatherwoman on the Fox NFL Sunday television show, along with Terry
Bradshaw, James Brown, and Howie Long. She later acquired guest
appearances on Pamela Anderson's V.I.P. and Clueless. She graduated to
feature films in "Heat" starring alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino
when she played the role of a television reporter, though most of her
scenes were edited out. Jillian's hair has always been styled for
excitement.
