For a while there, we thought that curly hair was consigned to
Shirley Temple and associated youthful advocates. Most certainly
it exemplifies youth, not an unreasonable aspiration, but properly
managed it can be a cut or style for all ages. It certainly is a
way to manage the once long and elegant tresses that have been
painfully sheared with great with regret and longing, but unlike
the long hair that requires as much tending and care as a garden
in the suburbs, the hair that is just long enough to curl can
take advantage of natural tendencies, if present, to highlight
one's face and stature.
Just be careful not to mismatch the face and body type just for the sake
of the curls. Imagine a short curly cut on basketball
starlet. It doesn't quite catch, and many times you will see curly
blonde fashions affixed to ebony models. Trying to be different or to
stun the eye, does not take a lot of talent if all you are interested in
is just to be different and strange for difference sake. Do green and
blue-haired oddities truly capture admiration? But matching the style
to the face and skin tone must be within range of what is natural and
normal, or the intended mate will feel he is watching the outgrowth of a
circus, minus only the big red nose and gigantic shoes.
